Founding and Early Years The academy was initially founded in 2019 under the name German Management and Consulting Academy (GMC Academy). The purpose was clear: to provide specialized education for professionals and organizations navigating the challenges of digitalization, management, and technology adoption. In a short time, GMC Academy made a significant impact in the education sector, focusing on tailored learning programs aimed at equipping individuals with the skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving workforce.

A Rebranding for Global Growth In 2024, GMC Academy underwent a rebranding process and emerged as the International Academy for Digitalization and Management (IADM). This rebranding reflected our growing global presence and renewed focus on delivering cutting-edge, digital-first education. As the needs of our students and the industry evolved, it became clear that we needed a name that would better reflect our expanded international scope and forward-thinking approach to education.

The rebranding marked a major milestone in the academy's growth, aligning with our mission to support the development of the next generation of leaders who are not only digitally literate but are also equipped with the strategic, ethical, and management skills required to navigate the future of work. Founder's Vision: Nurgül Aslan IADM Academy was founded by Nurgül Aslan, an expert in HR, Digital Strategy, and AI. Her career spans both Germany and Switzerland, where she has gained significant academic and practical experience across industries.

Her doctoral research centers on AI in HR and the EU AI Act, providing her with valuable insights into the intersection of technology and human resources. In addition to her research, Nurgül remains actively engaged as a lecturer at universities in Germany, where she continuously contributes to projects and initiatives in people development, digital transformation, and HR innovation. Her passion for education and personal development has been a key driver of the academy's mission and vision.

From Local Roots to Global Impact While IADM Academy was initially focused on serving local markets, our global vision quickly began to take shape. Today, the academy operates in several regions worldwide, with activities and partnerships in the UAE, UK, Turkey, Egypt, and other international markets.
